Playing with lights is the photographer’s prerogative and the ultimate challenge is to reduce it to almost nothing. What do we get when only scattered photons make their way to our model features? I tried to find out by isolating any parasite lights and using a partially covered soft box behind my model. Here are these extreme chiaroscuro pictures:
